 171 Books Ordered!
The August 11th all-schools summit with CUW is coming fast. Books are ordered and arriving early next week. I will drop them off at your school or you can get them from me if you are coming through Wausau. Official registration with your cost should be out end of May. I am finalizing support from LCEF to help keep your costs down. All but three of our schools are attending this special, first time event.
 Early Childhood Conference Registration Open
Friday August 5th is the day for this great EC conference. Registration can be found on the homepage of the NWD website or at this link

Here is a special welcome from this years keynote presenter, Jennie Williamson https://youtu.be/PNR_r3LAEcs

 Call Issues
Please share called staff changes with Lori as they occur: hires, departures, retirements. Your help allows us to stay organized with our responsibilities to Synod.

Also, I have been contacted by schools in the Concordia system regarding the shockingly low compensation numbers from some of our NWD calling schools. President Lueck and I are discussing minimum salary levels for graduates, as well as the practice of 10/12 month calls. It seems the District guidelines are set for a full-time teacher, but the 10/12 has been used to further discount salaries or assign summer work beyond teaching, rather than describe a part time school-year teacher. More to come.

 Transitions
Special thanks for outstanding service to Jerry Jiter and Brett Jones, both leaving the NWD to serve as principals outside the NWD. Many teachers are also currently considering calls within and outside of our district. Please pray for smooth transitions for each of these workers. Also, SEND ME NAMES OF GREAT CANDIDATES!

What Does District Resources Even Do?
The NWD Board of Directors has been busy revising their strategic plan. They affirmed their mission and revised the core values, vision, and outcomes. Measurable goals will come next. Here are the three outcomes or targets of the NWD...
