Every Sunday a pastor has the opportunity to deal with the reality of what his people face. The fact is rather simple. All the people gathered are sinful people and in fact they confessed it - "I a poor miserable sinner." The outcome of that reality according to God's Word - "The wages of sin is death." The joy is being able to preach good news to God's people, "But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Our victory comes through believing in Jesus Christ, our Savior.
