This past week was National Lutheran Schools Week around the country. It was celebrated in our District in our Lutheran Schools. It was a time to rejoice that we have children who are being taught that Jesus loves them unconditionally and their ability to learn in a Christian atmosphere. For as long as The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod has been around, the parochial schools have been a vital backbone of our Synod.
It all begins because children matter. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." (Mt 19:14)
