Jesus spoke with authority. His message wasn't happiness, prosperity or self-help. It was to make known the kingdom of God. After teaching, He spoke words of healing for many people with many conditions. The authority of His Word still teaches and heals today, washing away our sin, healing our hardened heart, and rescuing us from eternal death. Thanks be to God for the authority of His Word!

Dear Jesus,

You have authority over this world and the next. Teach me to obey your Word and to celebrate your saving love.
