The Wedding
This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in Him.
John 2:11
The first recorded miracle of Jesus is recorded at the wedding in Cana, where he turns water to wine. Wine was a symbol of joy, hope and abundance. When it ran out, all would notice. How fitting for the Lord Jesus to provide wine from simple water. Through His death and resurrection, we who believe and are baptized shall be saved. We have the joy, hope and abundance that comes from His provision!
Dear Jesus,
My hands are out and I ask for more and more and more. Forgive my selfish desires. Thank you for providing all I need, especially the hope of eternal life. Allow me to respond as the disciples; in awe of your power.
