 Peru Mission Trip - Speak Spanish?
The NWD is working with MOST Ministries to provide a mission trip to Peru this summer. We need at least three fluent Spanish speakers...wouldn't it be great if our Lutheran school teachers made up the three Spanish speakers? Participants would write letters to friends/family/church for financial support. More details coming, but contact DJ to learn more about the event. 

 Goodbye LEIF, Hello CMIF
The final changes to the old LEIF are underway and prepared for approval by the decision-makers at Synod. The new system will be called the Commissioned Minister Information Form. It will be accessed differently, updated differently, and greatly improved for searching for candidates. Videos for how to update and use the system are in process. Roll-out is mid-summer.

 New NWD Teacher Summit in August!
This August, before school starts, NWD teachers will gather to talk good teaching, joining with colleagues serving similar grade levels. This time will be collaborative, educational, and rewarding. Concordia University professors will lead our time together. Watch for specifics coming soon.
 Hearts For Jesus
Peace Campus Center is our HFJ recipient in February. Peace is a campus ministry to the students attending UW-St. Point. Pastor Andy Weden leads the ministry and is currently involved in a special project to expand the outreach of Peace Campus Center. Details and promotion materials will be available soon.

Boy Scouts 
The Synod has changed their relationship with Boy Scouts of America. Be sure to review their explanation and its impact on your ministry. http://blogs.lcms.org/2015/boy-scouts-of-america-update 
 Save the Date - EC Directors Gathering
The 2nd annual EC Directors Gathering will be held Friday April 29th from 9am-2pm, at the NWD Office in Wausau. The day is a time of encouraging, networking, and equipping. Watch for agenda topics in a few weeks.
 National Lutheran Schools Week
NLSW is celebrated nationally on January 24-30, 2016. While some may celebrate other times of the year, resources are now available to promote this special week with your stakeholders. See what's available at  http://www.lcms.org/lutheranschoolsweek
