JESUS!
On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise Him, He was named Jesus...
YHWH (YAHWEH) saves! That says it all. The name "Jesus" says it all. God saves. There is nothing to add. There is nothing for man to do. YHWH saves. And if it is the work of God we have the absolute confidence of salvation by faith in His salvation, namely Jesus. Go into the New Year with this name surrounding you in all that you do. You are His. Baptized into the very name of salvation we leave one year behind and confidently enter a New Year.
Dearest Jesus, we thank You for being able to know You, the name and source and reason for salvation. Help us look to You for all good in the coming New Year. Amen and Amen!
