Thanksgiving

Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks.
Luke 17:15-16

Jesus heals ten lepers. They were living as outcasts; with a death sentence. No future; no hope. Jesus works a life-saving miracle on their behalf. Only one returns to give thanks. And so it is with me. In the celebration of all my blessings, I get lost in the counting, the having, the celebrating. I overlook the blessing of forgiveness and the hope of eternal life. Humble yourself at the feet of Jesus, the giver of every good and perfect gift. Worship His greatness. And give thanks.

Dear Jesus,
Thank you. For all of it. Thank you.
A-men.
