Grumble Grumble

"This is a hard saying; who can listen to it? " But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this said to them, "Do you take offense at this?"
John 6:60-61

When Jesus spoke truth, some followers chose to walk away, others complained. And so it is today. When God's Word is taught in truth and purity, informing how we live in the world today, it is often considered a hard teaching. Personal preference and understandings create a comfortable box to store God as we see him. Jesus is the Holy One of God, He has the words of eternal life.

Dear Jesus,
I grumble and complain when your teachings are hard. I get confused by the tug of the world as it attacks your truth. Strengthen my belief. Open my heart to your Word. Show me how to live your love every day.
A-men.
