Peace! Be Still!
He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?"
Mark 4:40
We know the story: Jesus calms the storm after the disciples awaken him. Fearing their lives are in danger, they panic, still not knowing that this Jesus has authority over all things. It was AFTER Jesus calms the storm when the disciples are "filled with great fear." They didn't understand the power He displayed. We may not always understand how God is at work around us, but we can have peace knowing He has us firmly in His grip.
Dear Jesus,
The wind and waves of life battle my boat daily. Calm the storms that surround me. Grant me your peace and give me rest.
