AN INVITE TO YOU
Back in May of 1967, "The Happening" by the Supremes was the#1 hit on the Billboard Top 100. "And then it happened" was one of the lines from that song. I thought of that line on Pentecost - and then it happened- "When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:1-4 ESV).

Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit and preached to the people. He showed them their sin. He showed them Jesus. And what happened? "So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls" (Acts 2:41 ESV). The Christian church was started. What a great day!

There will be another "happening" taking place on June 7 and 8 at the Central Wisconsin Convention and Expo Center: 10101 Market St. (Cedar Creek Mall) Rothschild, WI. The theme of the Convention is "He's By Our Side" which will be the theme that Pastor Terry Cripe, President of the LCMS Ohio District, will address on Monday afternoon.
