What Did You Say?
And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?
Acts 2:8
Pentecost. Jesus is gone but not forgotton. Everyone has gathered from far and wide for the annual festival. Languages are a barrier in their celebration. Suddenly the Holy Spirit arrives in wind and fire and all can miraculously hear the message of the disciples. They proclaim new life in Christ through baptism. Your words today and your actions speak to those around you. Is your message proclaiming the baptismal promise of new life in Christ? Can they hear you?
Dear Jesus,
My witness of your greatness is imperfect, sometimes it's like I am speaking a foreign language. Let your Holy Spirit work through me, that others may know your saving, unconditional love and forgiveness.
