A Thorough Cleaning
And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
John 2:15
Righteous anger confronts the cheats, swindlers and not-so holy rollers who took advantage of those wanting to simply worship the Lord in His temple. Jesus clears the clutter and claims His authority. So often I am the money changer, putting up tables of distraction and doing business with the Lord, trading a current circumstance for my later advantage. Lord cleanse my heart!
Dear Jesus,
Forgive my distracted mind and clear my cluttered heart. Give me the peace that comes from knowing your love and the confidence to share that love with others.
