Another Year

Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Matthew 25:32

Another church year ends this week. The rituals that bring meaning to our worship sometimes lull us into complacency. Sermons are forgotten, song lyrics fade, community broken. The treadmill of another church year keeps running. Praise the Lord our salvation is not up to us, that it doesn't depend on our recall, our focus or our attitude. We are reminded there is purpose to our ritual, there is urgency in this day. There is a God of judgment who loves us and asks us to serve the world that they too may be saved by His grace!

Dear Jesus,

The final day is coming when you will separate believers and unbelievers. Strengthen my faith to walk in your ways. Motivate me to live your love so others may know your amazing grace.

A-men
