So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Are our children free from the ugliness of our culture? Am I free to speak my real feelings about what's in the news? Do my thoughts betray the vows of my baptism, my marriage, my call/commitments? The chains of sin grip my freedom, yet I have hope. There is a great God who in His Son Jesus has claimed me as His own and rescued me from the bondage of sin.

Dear Jesus,

Set me free from the chains of sin. Forgive my weakness. Strengthen my heart to lead in this world, to champion the only real freedom that comes from knowing you.
