Visit with Missionary Pastor Mark Eisold
Can you imagine serving in a country ranked as one of the top three dirtiest cities in the world, with 290,000 taxis, and 10 people dying per day in traffic accidents? Are you surprised to know this same place is incredibly tech savvy, but the cost of that tech is 30% greater than in the USA? Pr. Eisold has a rigorous strategic plan and deep faith in the Lord's work in Peru. Building trust and local control of the church is the earthly goal, souls in heaven the other. His team works in three specific areas of Peru, and now in a Lutheran school with over 120 students. Their acts of mercy and worship are making a difference every day. The NWD financially supports this work and hopes to both continue our support and increase our involvement. Continue to pray for the Eisold family, the rest of the ministry team, and the people of Peru; that God would work mightily in the hearts of His people.

Strengthened to Proclaim
The Professional Church Worker Conference is coming fast to Mt. Olive on Oct. 23-24. The planning team is focused on providing meaningful events to encourage, network and equip you for ministry. Plan now to attend with your entire ministry team. Visit www.nwdlcms.org for more information and registration.

Adult Gathering

Registration is here for the Adult Gathering scheduled on Oct. 28, 2014 at Mt. Olive in Weston. Featuring keynote speaker Dr. Rev. Paul Maier presenting "Martin Luther and the Reformation." You can find registration, bulletin inserts and a letter to your Adult Ministry Representative on our main webpage under News and Events.

Call or Contract

When a worker from another District is open to a call, their Education Exec. contacts DJ at District Resources. DJ keeps a list of potential candidates for DCE/principals/teachers. The LCMS is clear and the rule is simple: if the worker is on the roster, it is a call. If your congregation hasn't worked through the commissioned call/contract hiring process for awhile, talk with DJ about important steps in the process and check out this helpful post on the District Resources website, on the schools tab: http://www.nwdlcms.org/uploads/calling_a_teacher.pdf

Have a Student in College?

What a critical time for the Church to reach out in love to these young people! Click this link to find two tools to help college students find LCMS Campus Ministries at or near their college university.
