Why Stewardship Matters

Christian stewardship is a vital and necessary part of every congregation's mission and ministry. Concordia Seminary's Center for Stewardship is involved in forming healthy stewards and establishing a healthy stewardship culture in congregations.  NWD Student Grants
The NWD recently awarded over $97,000 to 58 NWD full-time college students pursuing church work as a profession, with 12 enrolled in the seminary or deaconess program. The grants are administered by a committee, with disbursements made based on policy, donor direction, and available funds. Check out more about the program at: http://www.nwdlcms.org/Financial_Aid.html
 The District Resource Team
Can you imagine serving in a country ranked as one of the top three dirtiest cities in the world, with 290,000 taxis, and 10 people dying per day in traffic accidents? Are you surprised to know this same place is incredibly tech savvy, but the cost of that tech is 30% greater than in the USA? Pr. Eisold has a rigorous strategic plan and deep faith in the Lord's work in Peru. Building trust and local control of the church is the earthly goal, souls in heaven the other. His team works in three specific ares of Peru, and now in a Lutheran school with over 120 students. Their acts of mercy and worship are making a difference every day. The NWD financially supports this work and hopes to both continue our support and increase our involvement. Continue to pray for the Eisold family, the rest of the ministry team, and the people of Peru; that God would work mightily in the hearts of his people.
