Written Curriculum At Trego, the principals decided to host a webinar for the principal and teacher leader regarding this product. Look for information for our first principal academy on October 2. This would be a great tool since 14 of our 16 accredited schools are preparing for a visit in 4-5 years.
Early Childhood Academy The EC Directors attending the NWD EC Conference met to consider using an EC Cabinet to plan EC Director Academies throughout the year. That team is being recruited right now, planning will start in September. More to come.
LEA Awards Nominations are accepted only online. Information and access to the forms are now available under the Awards tab on the LEA.org website. One award not directly tied to any LEA Network is Leader in Outreach. Find out more about this award, and consider nominating a colleague.
Classroom Walkthroughs on the Listserv Did you catch this post? iWalk and iObservation were also highlighted.
I use eWalk--it is pretty robust in features and is free in the Apple App Store. I now have staff members doing walk throughs as well. This works out well as we can determine what kind of data we want to collect and then everyone plays a part in collecting it. This year we will develop department specific walk throughs.
