May 8-10, 2014 is an important day - NFL (National Football League) draft day! It is officially called "NFL Players Selection Meeting" and an exciting day if you are a football player coming out of college hoping to be drafted by a team and eventually living the dream of playing in the NFL.But for that day to become reality a lot of things have happened: there were coaches and parents to encourage the young man, hours were spent practicing and playing with others, and of course there were the coaches who equipped them with the skills necessary to use their talents to play at that level.The ultimate goal - playing on Sunday in the NFL!
The dream of God is that all people come to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.Isn't that what we are suppose to be doing as the Christian church - to proclaim the love of Jesus? Isn't that what your church is doing - getting the word out about Jesus and training the disciples that follow Him to live in this world and bring glory to our God? The ultimate goal is people having saving faith in Jesus Christ, our risen Savior and Lord.
