| | Change
Change is tough. The mirror shows my hairline has relocated, waistline too. Ask any teacher and they will say kids are different today, and parenting has changed. Your neighborhood probably looks different. I know music videos and television shows have changed their content. Technology is change on steroids. I am guessing your church has even changed over time.
And so it is with how the District serves and communicates with congregations. It is our job to encourage, network and equip congregations of the LCMS North Wisconsin District to vigorously make known the love of Christ. We used to be about lots of staff and lots of programs. No more. Today we use our experiences from all the congregations we serve to help you in your ministry change.
The new logo above reminds us of our work: we are District Resources. This newsletter, the monthly Happenings, is for all the people of our District. You can see below the specific areas of our service: education, finance, churches, and the specific newsletters for people serving those ministries. The Guiding Connection will be a short, weekly devotional thought sent to all. Finally, check out our newly designed website and Facebook page for more resources.
The Word of God stands unchanged, forever proclaiming our only hope in this changing world; the unconditional love of Jesus. May you know it and proclaim it.
