Life Insurance Awareness Month- Life Happens

To a family it is a promise held stronger than life itself, to a business owner it's a financial tool to assure the strength and continuation of their company and for a grandparent it is the loving gift of legacy. September is Life Insurance Awareness Month and is a time to remember Life Happens.
Everyone has goals and aspirations of what they want for their families and where they want to be in their careers or life in general. Saving for their children's college education, expanding their career or business and retirement are all topics that come up on a weekly basis; sometimes while planning for these goals we don't stop and remember that Life Happens and how an unexpected death can affect the people in our lives.
We all have people who depend on us and we want to make sure that the promises and plans we make while we are living will still be fulfilled in the chance that something happens to us before we have reached our goals. Most of us purchase a life insurance plan when starting a family or when forming a partnership within a corporation, but forget that as our lives and careers change we need to review and update our insurance plans. Having more children, purchasing a new house or purchasing a second home, are all good reasons to review your personal life insurance plan. Same goes for corporate life insurance plans. If you purchased a plan to complete a buy/sell contract, your company is probably worth more now than it was 5 or 10 years ago. This is why life insurance should be reviewed on an annual basis and updated when needed.
