7th Edition

Back in 2011, the SCDA held a membership wide survey inquiring of members various questions ranging from association participation and issues facing the dental profession to the SCDA annual convention and communication practices. Another question within this survey asked how important the annual SCDA Member Benefits Booklet was to the membership and the response was overwhelming.

Leading up to the time of this survey the SCDA Member Benefits Group had produced this booklet for four consecutive years. Knowing that the SCDA would be polling its membership in 2011 via this survey, the SCDA Member Benefits Group Board felt it prudent to hold off on a 2011 edition and question the membership on the usefulness of this booklet. Once the results were tallied the SCDA Member Benefits Group Board gave direction to staff to begin reproducing the booklet annually starting in 2012.

The 7th edition of the Benefits Booklet is now complete and will be mailed to the membership with the annual Membership Directory in the coming weeks, so be sure to keep an eye out for this dental practice tool.

We hope you find it to be as valuable as 90% of those SCDA Members who responded to the 2011 survey did!

11 Year Partnership Going Strong

How about a complete payment processing gateway for your dental practice at no charge that includes a free transaction express terminal swiper, no application fee, no set up fee and no need for a dedicated phone line?

That's right; TransFirst Health Services is at it again with a $325 savings exclusively for SCDA Members!

This savings package offer will not last forever, so if you are currently in the market for a card processor or would simply like to receive a free comparison on how much you could be experiencing in savings when working with TransFirst, contact the SCDA/TransFirst Program Team at 800-577-8573 or via email at scda@transfirst.com.

Additionally, TransFirst was recently selected as one of the first US processors to begin offering full service American Express (AMEX) processing and this will allow for new users to experience:

  • One statement showing all transactions from Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express,
  • American Express fees will align with all other fees,
  • Transactions will be shown in their systems and merchants will be able to get support from the TransFirst Merchants Support Teams  - no need to contact AMEX,
  • Merchants will now see one deposit to their bank account for all credit card activity,
  • AMEX funds will be deposited in gross funds instead of the current default of net-funding.

As always, contact me at 1-800-327-2598, ext. 103 with any questions or visit us at www.scda.org

Sincerely,
