Donated Dental Services (DDS)
September 4, 2013

Didn't it feel great to help so many South Carolinians during our DAD project last month? We couldn't have done it without you; thanks again for volunteering your time and services to treat patients in need.

Here's another volunteer opportunity - and you don't even have to leave your office! Donated Dental Services (DDS) is currently seeking volunteer dentists to address a backlog of 115 cases. DDS, a program of Dental Lifeline Network-South Carolina and sponsored by SCDA, has been active in our state since 1998 for the benefit of people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile. Similar DDS programs operate in all 50 states through the Dental Lifeline Network, a charitable affiliate of the ADA.

The DDS Program is unique:

  • You treat patients in your own office
  • You schedule treatment when it's convenient for you
  • Patients are thoroughly screened to confirm eligibility and commitment to care
  • You select the cases you want
  • You donate as much dentistry as you want
  • Lab work is donated too - no out-of-pocket expense
  • No paperwork for you or your staff

You can make a difference today! It's easy to volunteer, pick what works best for you:

  1. Email local DDS Coordinator Dawn Peltier or call 803-726-4522
  2. Sign up online
  3. Return the attached volunteer application

Only you can help provide what is often life-changing dental treatment to members of your own community. Thanks for considering this opportunity - and the chance to support DDS and Dental Lifeline Network-South Carolina!
