Take Control and Defend Your Reputation |
|
When it comes to your practice it is important to take necessary steps to properly monitor your online reputation. At minimum, you should be monitoring your practice's reputation by conducting periodic searches to identify what information about your practice is accessible on the search engines. You may find that 3, 4 or even 10 reviews have already manifested in various reviews sites online. If you are lucky, all of these reviews will be positive, but don't be surprised if one or two are negative. Let's face it-even the most accredited and experienced dentist can't possibly satisfy every patient that walks through the door, but you can take critical steps to avoid potentially harmful reviews from getting out of hand.
If you have a website, then you've already taken the biggest step towards managing and building a solid reputation online. Once you've established this critical foundation, you will need to implement a local search strategy. This involves optimizing your website for local search, claiming your owner-verified Google Place Page, submitting your website to local search directories and acquiring positive reviews from your most loyal and satisfied patients. A third party provider can work with you to implement a local search engine optimization strategy and natural reviews management program tailored for your practice's needs.

Industry Update- Practice Card Processing |
|
TransFirst (TF) has revised its Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) validation project creating a stronger financial incentive for practices to complete the on-line dashboard validation survey in order to improve portfolio validation percentages.
PCI DSS is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, storeortransmitcredit card information maintain a secure environment. Essentially, any merchant that has a Merchant ID (MID).
Today, after two years of system access, TF portfolio adoption rates are far below anticipated levels, shared with Visa/MasterCard. Please take a moment to complete the annual survey so as to secure a quarterly rate of $18.80 versus that of $58.80! According to industry sources, 78% of merchants breached in the past 24 months were PCI non-compliant and are now subject to potential hefty fines, audits, business interruptions, etc.
Below is a link to the website to complete this survey if you process transactions through TF. The username is the merchant number found on your TF merchant statement and your initial password is compliance101. You will be prompted to create a new password for future use.
