Jesus Christ has risen, gone to heaven, and will come again. We now live in the new normal of this reality that Jesus is Lord. This is our mission, message and new way of viewing life, and we have been given an assignment and a responsibility until He returns!
Throughout the month of March we'll be learning about "The New Normal" as we lead up to Easter at the Civic Center when we will declare that "Jesus is Lord" with thousands that we're praying for.

City Speak
In my pursuit of being a better leader, husband, musician, co-worker, friend, IT guy, servant, Christ follower, etc. I find that where I am and what I am currently doing is often not enough. In fact, it may never be. I am told that I need to be more and more productive and capable of multi-tasking. I sit at work in front of a dual cinema PC and a Mac laptop. I drive home shaking the windows with Pandora. At home, I sit in front of a TV coupled with an iPad or laptop all the while texting from my cell phone. I have 2 phone numbers, 6 email addresses, a twitter account, a facebook page, 3 IM clients, a ticketing system, a Skype account and like most of you, the list goes on. It is easy to see in our day that we are on sensory overload and are the most inaccessible generation with the most resources to be connected.
My attention is swept in different directions every 10 minutes or less. Yes, I am a little ADD, just try talking to me and I guarantee you we will not end up on the same subject we started on. In the midst of frustration, being overwhelmed, and every emotion that comes with it, God says "be still." Psalms 46:10 says "Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world." Now, read that scripture again slowly. This is no "hey bro, chill out. I am God, I got this" kinda talk. This is a clear decree that He is Lord. He will be honored not just in Tallahassee but everywhere on Earth and in the Heavens. I cannot honor him when I allow so many things in my life to take precedence over His glory. Constantly He reminds me to shut it down. Whatever in my life that shuts Him out I have to learn shut off. I keep fighting all these battles because I feel I have something to win or prove when Christ has proven and won anything I will ever need. He has won our victory over every sin and proved it when He rose from the grave. Believing that He will sustain me until His return is all the peace I need to know but it is not peace I can tap into unless I am connected to Him throughout the week. I don't always get this part right but with every failure God has always corrected my path and I am a better man for it. To God be the glory for every victory in my life! So whatever is keeping you from making plans to join us at the Civic Center this Easter, SHUT IT DOWN! Come celebrate with us the salvation we have in Christ and testify to Tallahassee that there is a Risen Savior who died and rose for them.
