The world has rebelled against God with our sin. As Christians we are called to rebel against the rebellion; we're called to choose God over this world, others over ourselves, generosity over greed, and purity over sexual immortality. This Sunday Pastor Dean continues with our Rebels series. If you missed the first two weeks, check them out on our website or iTunes podcast.
Setup begins at 4:30 a.m. this Sunday at Leon. Thanks to everyone who helped last week, we've only got 6 more Sundays to go, and we hope you can pitch in again this Sunday early morning!

City Speak
by Lee Ellzey
When we embark on this journey of becoming a follower of Christ, one of the most difficult things for me has been not knowing what God plans to do with me and how he plans to use me. The natural instinct is for me to plan what I want God to do and expect God to follow through with...having the idea that I know how God shold move or how He should respond to my actions. I imagine most of us have that trait.
Genesis 25:29-31 gives us an account of how Esau traded his future for something to satisfy an immediate appetite. Esau was willing to give up his inheritance, his birthright, for a bowl of stew...food that would satisfy a hunger. This story of Jacob and Esau stresses to me that fact that we have no idea what God intends to accomplish through our lives, the lives of our children and the lives of our grandchildren.
While I am convinced my God is sovereign and He knows how the future will play out, I've got to wonder what would have happened if Esau had not given up everything in exchange for a temporary satisfaction. Would we be singing of the God of Esau instead of the God of Jacob?
You have no idea what God wants to do in your life or how God wants to use you.
