It's time for Christmas On The Moon!

When it comes to our church gatherings, this is the highlight of my year. I love the opportunity to use the "Christmas spirit" as an opportunity to share the true story of Christmas with our friends.

On Sunday, December 9th, at 6:00pm we will be holding our annual Christmas service at The Moon. God has used this famous Tallahassee nightclub in a mighty way in City Church's history and I hope you will join me in praying for an amazing night as we celebrate the Christmas story together. Todd Doss, Giana Lopez, and our band will be at their best, and the atmosphere promises to be electric. I'm also excited that our elementary age students will be sitting with their families and attending the service. We will have excellent childcare available to children six weeks old through preschool.

Our very important Christmas offering will also be collected that night and we are asking everyone who calls City Church "home," to give generously that evening as we fund our move to Leon High School and prepare to build a state-of-the-art facility for City Church Kids at our future Tallahassee Mall location.

On Sunday at 10:30am, we will kick off our December schedule by having one service at the warehouse. It will be the start of our "Tis the Season" series. The music and my sermon will be different from The Moon. IT IS NOT THE SAME SERVICE. Please join us!

Here are three things you can do as we get ready for The Moon:

1. Come! We need you there. This is a special evening for our church and I am asking you to make it an absolute priority to be in the building before 6:00pm. Get there early!
2. Invite and bring your family and friends. What an opportunity! We don't have this service for us, we have it for them. Make every effort possible to get those in the building who need to hear the truth about the holiday they have already decorated their house for.
3. Pray. Here's what we know, Satan hates it when we go to The Moon. Please pray, pray, and then pray a little more for every part of this evening. I personally, greatly need your prayers. The weight of preaching at this is always heavy.
