WE'RE GRILLING ON THE PORCH-AUGUST 27th

From 10-1pm on August 27th, we will be hosting a Grill Out featuring local Piemonte Sausage, local Mad Goat Coffee, new and delicious Grocery items, and house made Deli Salads.

Stop by and meet the Grill master, Claude Cole from Piemonte Sausage. Piemonte Sausage is a locally-owned family business, operating for over 27 years, and they have perfected Northern Italian artisan sausage. Using fresh spices, freshly ground local meat, and old family recipes, you will taste why they are special.

The Grill Out will be on the Front Porch and is FREE! Bring family and friends!

NEW COSMETICS IN WELLNESS
We are very excited to announce that Common Ground now carries Mineral Fusion natural mineral-rich cosmetics for eyes, cheeks, lips, and nails!

Mineral cosmetics offer natural sun protection and Mineral Fusion's added antioxidants and botanicals soothe and nourish your skin. All the minerals are
triple milled and pressed for easy application and everything is free of parabens, phthalates, gluten, and artificial colors and fragrances. You'll also find a selection of quality natural brushes, foundations, and removers.
Common Ground Co-op owners have asked for a clean, quality cosmetic line

BEAT THE HEAT IN OUR CLASSROOM

This month, we're happy to be offering a number of fun and informational classes! Learn all about how to pair beer with cheese with our expert Andrea Stewart, try your hand at Chinese Dim Sum with Anna Barnes, make traditional Ethiopian Injeras with Tesfaye Wolde-Medhin, or scope out another one of our many excellent classes on the schedule. As always, our classes are priced to
be affordable for almost everyone and we offer a Food For All 50% or 100% discount if classes are outside of your budget.

With the new school year, we're happy to be continuing our partnership with Douglass Park to provide an After-School Snack program to area kids. We also look forward to working on-site in schools in our community in league with
our Grow On program! If you are or know of a teacher, organizer, or member
of a group that might be interested in our Grow On lessons or other
educational initiatives, we'd love to work with you!
STAFF PROFILE: LOGAN MIDDLETON

Do you recognize Logan? Well, we thought we'd officially introduce him since he's beloved by our staff and customers.

Logan Middleton likes co-ops of all kinds. Before working as a Changemaker
at our Co-op, he was an employee at Willy St. Co-op in Madison, a Co-op that started in 1974, the same time as ours! When he moved down to C-U to start
his Master's program in Writing Studies at UIUC, Logan sought out Common Ground because co-ops "promote local food sourcing, social justice, and workers' rights". At work, he enjoys the welcoming atmosphere that the
Co-op creates, and makes long-lasting friendships with coworkers, customers, and owners. When off the clock, Logan reads graphic novels and essays, catches screenings at the Art Theater Co-op, and takes care of two cute
cats, Shosanna and Calliope. He cooks at home and wanted to share his

Interested to see what Logan's top items are here at the Co-op? Check out Logan's Picks on the sidebar to the right.
Thanks for reading our newsletter! Enjoy the savings and see you next month!

This offer can only be used once per owner and is valid  the entire month of August. It can be printed or presented on smart device at time of purchase. Limit one coupon per customer. Applies to all store items besides those that are on sale or considered Co-op Basics.
