Reluctant Goodbyes |
Dan Heimerman
Downtown lost one of its own on August 31, when Dan Heimerman died from injuries sustained in a car accident. Dan and his wife, Pam, bought and re-energized Carl's Bar in 2006, and two years later moved Carl's onto Main Street after saving the Strand building with an extensive remodel. Dan will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune to know him. Our deepest sympathies to Pam and their family, friends and employees.
Ron Kelley
It is with great sadness that we report the death of Ron Kelley, of Sarah's Catholic Bookstore. Ron died on Saturday, September 7, after a brief illness. Ron was a tireless advocate and longtime leader for our community and especially Downtown Hutchinson. He invested time, resources and energy into more projects than can be counted. His persistence, and willingness to embrace new ideas, have been a driving force in downtown Hutchinson. We will miss his kind spirit, smiling face, and constant encouragement. Our deepest sympathies to Lovella and their famiy and friends.
