art
Third Thursday this month falls on August 15. Concert on the Creek welcomes Last Transit to the Avenue A Park state. It's from 7-10:30 p.m.

Also check out the Art Purchase Award Display at Gallery 7, 207 South Main. The pieces of art on display have been purchased through a fund at Third Thursday to support the Artists of Third Thursday. They are available to be on display for your business, workplace and other public places.

Your Event on the Downtown Hutchinson Website
info
The Downtown Hutchinson website lists events on the home page that are entered on the Hutchinson News Events list. So, when you're doing an event, you only have to put it on the Hutchinson News Events list, tag downtown when prompted, and it will automatically appear on the Downtown Hutchinson website, too.

Begin by entering the information at http://calendar.hutchnews.com/. You will have an opportunity to classify your event, and one of the options is "downtown." Click that box, in addition to any others, and your event will automatically also appear on the Downtown Hutchinson website.
Downtown in Bloom
Flowers throughout downtown have been a profusion of blooms this summer. In addition to what has been done by the city, some business owners have gotten into the act, too. With all the upgrades at George Pyle park this summer, it is beautiful downtown. It makes downtown all the more inviting.
Sixth Annual Rod Run & Classic Car Show
classic car
A Rod Run volunteer meeting is set for Tuesday, August 20, at the Chamber of Commerce, beginning at 6 p.m. Volunteers help with everything from stuffing welcome bags to selling souvenirs. Attend the meeting or call Janet at 620-966-5447 for details.

Organizers are also looking for people who want to display car-related art during the September Third Thursday. For more info, contact Jim Seitnater at 620-694-2677.
