BBQ Hutch on July 27

Hutchinson's 2nd annual BBQ cook-off is set for July 27 in DCI Park, located at 2nd and Main Street. More than 20 BBQ Chefs will be competing. 

 

From 1-3, tasting tickets will be available for $1 per sample,  with winners announced at 3:30 p.m. 

 

The beer garden opens at noon. Live music is from 2-4 p.m.

Funds Available for Existing or New Businesses
money

Reno County E-Partners has secured a new funding source from Network Kansas to assist Reno County entrepreneurs with financing to start or expand a business.

 

E-Community funds may be used in conjunction with local financing and other micro loan programs available through the Quest Center to assist a viable business, whether a start up or expansion.

Municipal Band
Municipal Band Concerts
The Municipal Band is playing at the Farmer's Market each Tuesday evening this summer. They'll start at 8 p.m. See here for more details

Concerts for the Cause
Every Saturday night this summer, Concerts for the Cause is holding a concert in Avenue A Park, beginning at 7:30 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m. See more details here

SculptureWalk Gets Started Right

New sculptures are in place along Main Street as part of the SculptureWalk 2013. Fortunately, some of the pieces from the inaugural SculptureWalk have been purchased and are remaining in town.

 

If you haven't had a chance to see them all yet, you can get a full list of locations by clicking here

 

One of the pieces remaining from the first walk is in its new home along the Walk in the Park Trails in Avenue A Park. Another is on Main Street in front of the Hutchinson Public Library.
