GREETINGS FROM NORTHERN N.H. !
| |
Tall Timber has been in operation for 70 years, and our family has been here for 35 of them. Thank you all for your support and friendship all of these years.

What a difference a year makes! A year ago at this time, we had perhaps our coldest March ever, along with a seemingly unending supply of snow. A year later, it has been the exact opposite of what we had last year - in fact, it was nearly 60 degrees in Pittsburg on March 9 (which is warmer than some of our days in May and June). It looks like spring will come early this year to northern New Hampshire ...
The "BAD NEWS":
It looks like our short lived snowmobile season may have come to a premature end - conditions were very good last weekend, in fact they were some of the best of the year. Unfortunately, it was all undone in a matter of days, and our winter enthusiasts will have to wait until next year. That "Fat Lady" is definitely singing her song. Our Rainbow Grille will be open until March 26, so give us a call if you need to make a trip north to take your snowmobile trailer home.
The "GOOD NEWS":
For those of our guests that prefer fishing the Connecticut River for rainbow and brown trout, this early spring has created some very good conditions. There have been some fantastic fish caught and released this year, so if you've ever wanted to do an early season fishing trip to Pittsburg, this might be your year. Please check out our Fishing Blog for the latest information on what's going on in Pittsburg.
Don't forget about our "Last Minute Specials", where we often make you "offers that you can't refuse" for a spur of the moment stay with us - it's wise to bookmark this page, as we update it often!

Please Support the Pittsburg Anglers Association!

Formed in 2015, the Pittsburg Anglers Association is a fishing community devoted to the enhancement of fishing opportunities on the Connecticut River in Pittsburg, N.H. Our primary focus is the Upper Connecticut River's "Trophy Stretch", one of New England's premier trout and salmon fisheries, as well as a destination for many visitors to our area. Supplemental trout stocking of the Trophy Stretch is our most important work to improve the angling opportunities on this section of the Connecticut River, and stocking will take place primarily in April or May each year, prior to the start of the regular stocking schedule of the N.H. Fish & Game Department. To this end, the Pittsburg Anglers Association relies on fiscal support through memberships and donations from our business and individual partners. Preparations are underway to get our fishing season started off right in 2016 - we will once again be stocking the Connecticut River's "Trophy Stretch" this spring and hope to have your support this season.
