We would like to thank you for spending some time with us over the years, and as we enter our 34th year of business, we appreciate your loyalty to Tall Timber and the Rainbow Grille and hope to have you stay with us again soon.

 

It's been a spectacular autumn here in New Hampshire's north country, and hopefully it has been a nice one wherever you are as well. As autumn winds down, we start thinking of Thanksgiving, Christmas and the start of another snowmobiling season at Tall Timber. They're coming on fast, and will be here before we know it.

What of the grouse hunting season that has just passed? In general, it was a good one, and the Tall Timber mascots all had their good days. Rudy was his steady self, while Monty proved that he is a pro at finding and pointing birds. Bode became a more dependable bird hunter, and had some excellent days in the woods. He is still young though, and his age showed a few times too - progress is being made, and we must remember that "Rome wasn't built in a day."

The rules changes for the Connecticut River south of Murphy Dam may help more lunkers stay around longer in years to come!
For those of our guests that love to fish the Connecticut River in Pittsburg, we have some great news.

The N.H. Fish & Game Commission has passed the rules changes (catch & release, barbless hooks from January 1 - the fourth Saturday in April) to the Connecticut River south of Murphy Dam in Pittsburg to the Route 114 bridge in West Stewartstown, N.H. that we proposed earlier this year - thanks for all of your support in signing our petitions, both online and at our front desk.   

 

The rules changes will go in to effect in 2016!
