All of our hot summer weather may have made you forget that autumn is just around the corner, but it'll be here before you know it, and there's even a few trees changing color here in northern New Hampshire. If you're a fly fisherman, fall signals the time of year when we use streamers to entice big fish to strike, and it is some of the most exciting angling of the year on the Upper Connecticut River. This fall, we have a unique offering for you - Tall Timber's Spey Casting Clinic.
Learn the discipline of two handed spey casting with spey and switch rods this fall at Tall Timber, under the tutelage of IFFF certified two handed casting instructor William FlySpoke. Learning to use spey casts on switch rods to swing flies for big trout is the goal of this course, and autumn in northern New England is a great time to swing streamers for those big fish on the Connecticut River.
IFFF certified Two Handed Casting instructor William Flyspoke tailors his instruction to both beginners and more experienced casters alike, and maximum time is spent on the best "classroom" of all, the Connecticut River. The clinic will be offered on Saturday, September 19 - we will be offering a package which includes accommodations for two nights, all meals for the weekend (two breakfasts, two dinners and bag lunch on Saturday), and all taxes and gratuities for $420 per student.
