The ice peacefully left Back Lake on May 5, 2015

Wow, that was one tough winter, and it seemed like it might never end. Good news is that the ice is now off of Back Lake, as it is soon to be off of the Connecticut Lakes, and our fishing season is officially underway.

The trout and salmon will be running soon, there's a few moose around, and the loons are laughing it up on the lake - all sure signs that spring has sprung in the north country.

The New Hampshire Fish & Game Department has been stocking some of Pittsburg's waters (yes, Back Lake too), so we're anxious to see some of our guests up here to enjoy some great early season trout and salmon fishing. Get up here before the black flies do!
