"This is what we have been waiting for!"

To those of you who have been with us since the beginning, and to others just getting to know us from our latest news, you know that we have always given our all to raise up a young generation in Israel that would follow Yeshua and be a blessing to our nation.

"This is what we have been waiting for!" was the reaction of a young mother this week, watching with tears in her eyes, as her son laid hands on an elderly woman, calling on the name of Yeshua for healing. And He came, and He healed!

Other parents were awestruck Child Prayinglistening as their young children told stories of receiving a fresh touch of God in their lives, and invited folks to come and be renewed as well. Eyes welled up as one after another, men and women, came to receive a blessing, a healing, or renewed strength for a difficult life, through the touch a child, from the hand of God.

Watch the children

Watching children touch people's lives with God's love is transforming. It is like seeing the ministry of God's Spirit for the first time. The innocent, pure and simple way they trust God is startling, and it hits us -- we do not always minister to others like that. They didn't shout, there was no hype. They closed their eyes, lifted their faces, and extending their hands touched the needy, believing that God is here, with us. As we watched, we saw faith in their hopeful expressions, heard the trust in their straightforward prayers, and as they asked, as only a child can ask, for healing, renewal and strength for needy, sick and broken lives, we saw people moved, deeply.

Would you say a prayer with us that God would continue to pour out His love in even greater measure to the people of Israel through the children of Israel? Remembering that...

"The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple, and He healed them. But the chief priests and scribes were indignant when they saw the wonders He did and the children shouting in the temple courts, "Hosanna to the Son of David." "Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked. "Yes," Jesus answered, "have you never read: 'From the mouths of children and infants You have ordained strength?"

Teach your children well

One of the highlights of our lives was watching a group of teens give immersion 1 their lives to Yeshua in baptism earlier this year. As growing numbers of young people in our congregation are giving their lives to Yeshua our Messiah, it has brought a whole new life to the entire congregation. Having highly motivated teens around makes us all feel, and act, younger! They give us a fresh appreciation of our families, and of the calling on our children, and the destiny of all of us, together, to carry on the good name of our Lord to the people of our land.

We are so proud of our youth who help teach the younger children in the congregation. I wish you could see the faces of the younger children looking up to their older brothers and sisters in Yeshua who encourage them to believe in God. One of the greater blessings in life is to see the young adults you have loved and nurtured through all the challenges of growing up giving of themselves to nurture the little ones in a life of good works and of love and caring for others.

As it is written...
"Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One. You shall love him with all your heart, soul, and might. And you shall think constantly about these commandments I am giving you today. You must teach them to your children and talk about them when you are at home or out for a walk; at bedtime and the first thing in the morning."

The youth have been inspired to start their own worship team and continue to be involved in a variety of different services in the congregation. This week they are preparing a dinner to serve the elderly folks in the congregation and enjoy a time together of inter-generational fellowship. It is possible to enjoy meaningful relationships between the generations! Yes, dear friends, it is. Praise God!

Of course there are challenges with a large and growing youth group, as we try to keep up with all of their enthusiasm and desire to serve God. Would you pray with us for new leaders to emerge from within the youth group, and for the entire congregation to keep investing in our young people.

Thank you for partnering with us.
