What a great day yesterday was! It is exciting to see what God is doing in our midst. I am so thankful to be a part of this community. I wanted to send an email with a link with our financial update for the first quarter of 2014 (click here) for those of you who did not make it yesterday or wanted to see it again.  

As you can see, our giving was significantly down in the month of January due to weather.  

In light of that, these are our 2 asks:

1) Would you consider giving a gift above and beyond your tithe in the month of April so that we can make up the gap before summer? We know that some of you just can't do this right now and we completely understand. We know that others can give a few hundred extra and we would appreciate that gift. We also know that there are others who can give substantially more and we are asking you to consider doing that. Your gifts fund the mission of the church. Thank you for even considering giving above and beyond.

2) If you consider Calvary your home - and are not giving regularly - please consider starting. God will bless you for it.

The consistory wanted to show that we are committed to the mission of this church and to making up the budget gap before summer, so we have pledged to give $12.6K above and beyond our tithes for the month of April. We do this joyfully, knowing that in our giving we get to partner with Jesus in his mission.
