Greetings on a snowy, windy Sunday! I hope this email finds you safely at home. I'm writing to let you know that ALL programs scheduled at church on Monday, January 6, 2014 for the day and evening are cancelled.

The church office also will be closed for the day due to the dangerous temperatures and snow expected. We expect to re-open on Tuesday.

Please see the note below issued by The National Weather Service. Stay warm and safe today and tomorrow!

Blessings,

NWS issues winter storm, wind chill warnings

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning until 6 p.m.
Sunday and a Wind Chill Warning from 6 p.m. Sunday to noon Tuesday.

Snow is expected to continue (heavy at times) tonight into Sunday. The main
impact periods of heavy snow will be from tonight into Sunday and will
result in five to 10 inches of snow accumulation. This will lead to
hazardous travel conditions.

Brisk northwesterly winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour will result in
considerable blowing and driving snow, with reduced visibility, particularly
on Sunday afternoon and night.

A prolonged period of dangerously cold wind chills also are expected Sunday
night through Tuesday morning. The most extreme wind chills are likely to
occur late Sunday night through Monday afternoon.

A prolonged period of wind chills colder than 30 degrees below zero is
expected, with wind chills of 40 to 50 below zero expected late Sunday night
into Monday afternoon.
