FROM THE DESK OF THE
EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR

Good morning! There are three things that I'd like to share with you today.

PRAYER VIGIL
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our annual Prayer Vigil at Calvary Church this evening at 5:00 p.m. This will be a special time of worship led by our Saturday Praise team accompanied with a time of prayer.

The Prayer Vigil focuses on being in prayer against the drug epidemic in Chicagoland that is affecting our cities. This vigil is all about prayer: praying to God to help heal the addiction for all of those who are hooked on drugs; praying to God to help eradicate drugs from our neighborhoods and the country; praying to help heal the wounds and scars that drug users have committed against themselves and their families; and praying to God for all of those who find themselves on the front lines against the drug war: doctors, paramedics, ER staff, pastors and clergymen.

This is our third annual prayer vigil, so I hope you take the time to join us on this powerful spiritual movement!

YOUTH PASTOR & YOUTH MINISTRY
Dave Grigoletti, our youth pastor, has resigned from his position as youth pastor effective December 31, 2013. We ask for prayers for Dave and Shanna and their family as Dave begins a new career. Dave and Shanna will be transitioning over the next several months to relocate their family to Michigan. This gives them an opportunity to live close to Shanna's family.

The youth advisory team will be meeting with our new senior pastor, Ron Citlau, and the executive council to determine the next steps for the  youth programs. Please remember in your prayers our youth sponsors as they continue to serve at Calvary Church with our Jr. High and Sr. High students.

Our youth programs will  resume in the month of February; please watch for those details. CrossTraining, our Jr. High Sunday School program, will resume next Sunday, January 12, 2014.

Once again, please be in prayer for our youth here at Calvary, the youth sponsors, the youth advisory team and leadership of Calvary as we work through this transition.

PASTOR RON CITLAU BEGINS HIS MINISTRY
As of January 1, 2014, Calvary Church has a new senior pastor in Pastor Ron Citlau! This has been an answer to many prayers for quite some time. He is excited to jump in and start working with the staff here as he begins his ministry here. This Sunday, January 5 will mark his first time up on the pulpit as Calvary's senior pastor. He has set up a six-week sermon series on the book of Colossians called Centered. I hope you will join us Sunday and welcome him on board!

Well, that's all for now. May you have a blessed weekend, friends! See you tonight for our prayer vigil and tomorrow for church!

Grace and peace,

Richard L. Schuler
Executive Administrator
