Good afternoon on this unusually cool June day. I hope and trust you and your family had a blessed weekend. We had a wonderful time worshiping together yesterday!

 

Speaking of yesterday, I wanted to remind you that our Communion Love offering of June 2, 2013 is going to assist with the financial needs of the families of Moore, Oklahoma, and the surrounding region. As many of you are aware from the news, a two-mile-wide tornado with winds of up to 200 miles per hour tore through the city on May 20, killing more than 20 people and injuring many more. As a congregation we have the opportunity to give financially through the Reformed Church of America (RCA), the denomination that Calvary belongs in, to World Renew, an organization with more than 40 years of experience responding to horrific tornadoes and disasters in North America. World Renew is working in partnership with Reformed Church World Service.

If you missed attending our services yesterday or didn't have the opportunity to give to the Communion Love offering, it's not too late! You can still contribute through your Communion Love offering envelope and put it in the offering plate next week. Or you can give online on our website at www.calvaryop.org/give. You will be able to designate your gifts directly to the Communion Love offering.
