Greetings,

 

I trust that this Friday finds you looking towards the weekend in anticipation. I pray that it will be a great one for you and your family!

PROPERTY UPDATE: IT'S OFFICIAL!

I wanted to take some time today to share with you the news that I shared to the congregation this past Sunday.

On April 30, 2013 we closed on the purchase of an additional 10 acres of property! We officially now have 41 acres of land!

 

 

This piece of property is directly behind our church building facing the west. This extra acreage means our current property now reaches to the Metra train tracks. The new property starts almost to 159th Street on the northwesternmost point and extends to behind the industrial buildings on its southeasternmost point. I have attached photos for illustration. Click on each one for a larger size.

  







 

We now have the capability of building a road to allow vehicles to exit onto 108th Avenue by creating a second entrance and exit to our property. With the purchase of this land, it also allows for future growth where buildings can be built, and walking paths, additional parking, softball or baseball or soccer fields, and much more!  

 

However, there are no current plans to build or expand at this time. We would like to someday begin the phase of the second entrance / exit. Funds would need to be raised in order to work on this phase. The consistory remains in prayer as God leads the way.

 

In closing, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the very generous donor who gave the funds and made it possible for Calvary to purchase the additional 10 acres of property debt-free.
