Greetings,

What a beautiful, warm day it is today! It is the type of day that makes you anticipate the coming summer season. Speaking of summer, I wanted to take some time to remind you that Daily Vacation Bible School is coming to Calvary Church this summer on June 24-28 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon!  

We are looking for volunteers to help reach the kids of our community. It may not seem like it, but Vacation Bible School DOES impact the lives of kids and adults. See the testimony below as an example of how God used our leaders and helpers to impact a family. To God be the Glory!

My family will be forever grateful for VBS! The summer of 1997, our daughter, Emilie, was invited to attend VBS at Calvary Church with our neighbors. Our family had never experienced VBS before and each day our daughter came home excited about what she was learning. On Friday of that week, we attended the end-of-the-week celebration and we were absolutely amazed with the 300 kids singing and praising GOD. It blew us away! We had never seen kids so "on fire" for GOD and then we were invited to attend Calvary on Sunday when the kids would share their VBS week with the congregation.

It was our "first" time attending a service outside of the religion we were raised with and the message was encouraging and uplifting, something we had never experienced before. This was the beginning of our path of being saved! By the end of 1998, my husband and I had asked Jesus into our hearts, and the following year in 1999, both of our daughters had asked Jesus into their hearts. In 2012, Emilie was married to a godly young man and it was a special treat to have our "neighbors" who invited us to VBS attend her wedding celebration! The seeds planted in 1997 have grown into a family that desires to follow God's Word and His way!
