FROM THE DESK OF THE
EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR
Greetings,
What a great day it is to enjoy the snow with your kids! I trust you taken or will have the opportunity to sled, snowball fights and make snow angels with your kids with our latest snowfall. For me, and I'm sure many others, it is about shoveling the snow and waiting for spring weather!
Well, let's move to some exciting news at Calvary. It has been a busy week here and God is at work! See below for some highlights. Please pray for our ministries and the people that working to make a difference as well as our upcoming events. Praise God for all He is doing through the people of Calvary Church!
CALVARY IN THE NEWS
Last Sunday, February 17 the Southtown Star newspaper wrote an article entitled, "I-55 Viaducts No Place Like Home." You can read the article and watch the related video by clicking here. (The site may require you to sign up to read the entire article, but it is free to do so.) Pastor Ron and our individuals from our New Hope Fellowship Saturday service are reaching the homeless in Chicago with food and clothes, and, most of all, with the fact that Jesus cares for them. There are some heartwarming stories here.
This week our office staff received many phone calls and people dropping off clothes and food for reaching the homeless! I encourage all of you to take a Saturday night at 5:00 p.m. and worship with our New Hope Fellowship people. You will be blessed!
HARRIS THE THIRD COMING TO CALVARY

Our Consistory and staff is working on an exciting program that will start on Sunday, March 10. More details of this program will be coming in the next couple of weeks, but for now we want to extend a special invitation for you and your family, friends and neighbors to join us for a special afternoon activity that will help us kick-off our program on that day!
We at Calvary are excited to be hosting "Harris the Third," a master Christian illusionist who has performed for the likes of Max Lucado and Dave Ramsey. He will be putting on a show on Sunday, March 10 at 4:30 p.m. This show is open to anyone who wants to come and check out a professional magic show, but also hear a great message about the great Truth of Christ.
Be sure to come early - doors open at 4 p.m. - to get a good seat! This show is sure to fill out quickly! This event is sponsored with Outreach, Inc. a Christian company working with local churches to spread the good news. You can find out more about this by visiting our website here.
