For the Week of January 24-31
Vol. 9, Issue 3
Reggie McNeal Seminar

This is a reminder that this Saturday is the Reggie McNeal seminar right here at Calvary Church! Reggie currently serves as the Missional Leadership Specialist for Leadership Network of Dallas, TX. He has authored several books on church leadership and structure.

I have been reading one of his books, A Work of Heart, as part of our staff meetings. The book has a lot of thought-provoking ideas on what the future of the Church looks like. To have someone like Reggie come in the area and speak will be an invaluable tool in the larger conversation of where the Church goes from here.

I encourage you to attend, even if you're not in any office or ministry leadership. This will definitely be a day that will help shape people's vision of what the future Church will be like and how we can participate in it!

Andrew High School Orchesis Dance Company Presents "Let's Go to the Movies!"

On February 7th and 8th, the Andrew High School Orchesis Dance Company will be presenting their annual show! The company performs all styles including tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary.

It is the company's goal this year to sell out the show! This year marks a very special year because it will mark four years since the formation of the company. This means that selected seniors will be the first generation of girls to have committed all four years of their high school career to the company. Melanie Standish, one of Calvary's volunteers, is one of the seniors!

Once again, the show is February 7th and 8th at 7 p.m. in the Andrew High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be sold at the door for $6. In addition $1 from each ticket will go towards the Daybreak Center in Joliet. This organization aides families in need and provides shelter to the homeless. Andrew High School is located at 9001 W. 171st Street in Tinley Park, Illinois.

Hope to see you there!

Moraine Valley Church's Men's Conference

Moraine Valley Church located in Palos Heights IL is designated as the host church in the south western suburbs for the "NO REGRETS MEN'S CONFERENCE" Saturday February 2, 2013. Last year this conference hosted over 300 men at Moraine Valley Church and we are expecting considerable more this year!

The No Regrets Conference is a single day men's conference which happens on the first Saturday of February. The conference consists of two general sessions in the morning and afternoon with key profile speakers. The general sessions feature a time of exciting worship sponsored by Harvest Bible Chapel, testimony time and a keynote address. In the middle of the day, we will have live feeds and local speakers from surrounding churches dealing with key topics men need to hear on being transformed. We had numerous men tell us that last year's conference had a huge impact in their lives. We are praying for a repeat this year.

The No Regrets Conference starts at 8:30am and ends at 4:00pm, lunch is provided with the individual ticket price of $25. Tickets may be secured on line via morainevalleychurch.org. If you need more information or have additional questions please feel free to contact Steve Gemeiner at 708-921-9833 or contact our church office. We look forward to seeing you at the Men's conference this year February 2!
