Greetings,
I hope this email finds you and your family doing well. I am excited to share with you some news about Calvary's future!
SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
This past Sunday, January 13, 2013 the Consistory scheduled a Special Congregational Meeting to consider a Consistory recommendation to purchase additional property. The Consistory recommended that the congregation purchase 10 acres of property just west of our current property. This property will give us the opportunity to create a second exit / entrance to our current property by entering from and exiting onto 108th Avenue.
This will also give us the opportunity for future growth at Calvary Church: for parking, buildings and sports fields. The purchase price for this 10-acre parcel is $50,000.00. As a Consistory we felt blessed to have the opportunity to purchase this property on behalf of Calvary. Details on this property were shared at the Congregational Meeting and members had an opportunity to vote on the purchase of this property.
THE RESULTS
Thank you! The congregation approved the Consistory's recommendation to purchase the ten acres of property.
The vote breakdown was as such:
But, wait, there's more! A generous donor has stepped forward and written a check to Calvary Church for the FULL $50,000.00 to purchase the property! This was a gift of love to Calvary Church. We praise God for this gift! Calvary will grow by ten acres soon! Thank you to all who came to the meeting and voted. Thank you from your Consistory and I for your trust in this decision to move boldly into our future with God's leading. God is continuing His faithfulness to Calvary Church.
