Vision CNY Regional Sustainability Planning Effort seeks Public Input - Potential to Direct Millions in Investment to CNY

Do you have ideas for the future of Central New York? What would make the region more sustainable for the long-term? The Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board (CNY RPDB) is seeking public input in the development of the Vision CNY Regional Sustainability Plan. Vision CNY was initiated by the CNY RPDB with a $1 million grant from the New York State Cleaner Green Communities Program.

The public can contribute to Vision CNY through a new website, www.visioncny.org. The website provides an opportunity for Central New York residents to learn about the planning team and process, take an online "sustainability quiz," and to contribute their ideas to promote sustainability through a message board, survey, and tools that allow them to add photos and map existing or proposed green projects.

Work on Vision CNY was initiated in June 2012 and is scheduled for completion by January 2013.
