Renditions, An Art Space for the month of September, is pleased to announce we will be showing the last remaining artistic works by Margot Ward Hicken, better know just as Margot.
32 Large paintings in Acrylic.

Margot passed away a year ago at the age of 80. Her artist statement reads as follows:
"My paintings tend towards episodes, themes and the development of characters, personalities and set motifs. characters metamorphose but persist. Examples are the "little green men" who cavort harmlessly, the "muscle man" who exudes an earthy strength, the hovering black bird and the big eye who came out of the shadow, the menacing serpent and watchful spider in its web...."

Her daughter, Katrina Williams, will be on hand to accommodate any questions at September's First Friday.

A few venues Margot paintings have been shown:
Netsky Art Gallery - Coconut Grove
Women's Caucus for the Arts - Miami
Artists Society International - San Francisco
Roselane Gallery - Key West
Orlando Museum of Art - Orlando
Eckerd College - St Petersburg
North Miami Center of Contemporary Art - Miami

All works are for sale. Please contact the gallery for further information.
