 | Thank you to our program sponsors! |
The OSHA 10-Hour course provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in Construction industry. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights.
Steve Stetson will again present the certification program. Many of you are familiar with Steve who has given us OSHA presentations in the past, including the 10-Hour. His combination of OSHA knowledge, incorporation of video into the course and sense of humor allows the course to be both educational and entertaining.

RRP Refresher Course & RRP/OSHA Paperwork Workshop
Tuesday, October 14, 2014
Location TBD (Elk Grove/Itasca area)
10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
 | Thank you to our program sponsors! |
RRP Refresher Course (10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.): Part of staying compliant with the RRP Rule is attending an RRP Refresher Course and re-registering your company with the EPA or EPA-Authorized State before your certification expires. This RRP Refresher Course will provide EPA Certified Renovators with a review of the RRP Rule requirements, covering topics such as containment, prohibited work practices, and personal protective equipment. Two important hands-on activities, testing for lead-based paint and the cleaning verification procedure, will also be reviewed. PLEASE NOTE: if you allow your certification to expire, you are no longer eligible to take the Refresher Course and will have to go through the original training course again!
RRP/OSHA Paperwork Workshop (2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.): Being prepared for an investigation from either the EPA or OSHA is largely about maintaining the correct paperwork for your company, your employees and your subcontractors. This course will cover the most common mistakes that contractors make in maintaining proper paperwork and will also highlight OSHA and EPA issues that are being targeted currently.
Please click the link below to register. You may register for both sessions at a $15 discount or you may register for one or the other.
