The Remodeling Excellence Awards are given each year by NARI of Greater Chicagoland to NARIGC members in good standing who have demonstrated outstanding work through their remodeling projects.
There are 15 categories for consideration - kitchens, baths, interior, exterior, commercial, additions, historical renovations, Universal Design, home theater and green remodeling are just samples. Projects must have been completed between July 1, 2012 and September 27, 2013. Click here for a full list and description of categories and rules.It's easy to get started! I have provided links to the right for all of the required forms so that you can review them and begin to gather the information needed to start your awards entries. In addition to these forms, please develop a one-page narrative of the project - homeowner's expectations, how they were met, challenges experienced and how they were solved, etc. A copy of the original contract, change orders and any drawings/layouts for the project will need to be included. You will also need to provide before and after photographs of the project - printed for the binder and on a CD ROM (high res) for promotional purposes.
Once you have selected the categories under which you want to enter, please contact me at the NARIGC office and I will make arrangements to get the binders to you.
Each entry is $125. Payment must accompany your submitted entry.

All entries are reviewed by remodeling professionals and scored based on a number of factors (click here for a sample score sheet). There will be one First Place and one Honorable Mention in each category/price range (except in the event of a tie). Awards will be announced at the NARIGC Holiday Party in December.
