SCTFC is pleased to announce we have a redesigned website! Along with the information and resources you've come to expect from our website, we've added new content. West Pelzer goes smoke-free, College of Charleston is now tobacco-free

The smoke-free ordinance adopted by the Town of West Pelzer in Anderson County went into effect on July 2, 2014! A total of 58 communities in SC are smoke-free, protecting 39% of the state's population. View a list and map of smoke-free communities.

 

The College of Charleston campus became tobacco-free effective July 1, 2014. The college joins 18 other SC campuses. View a map of tobacco-free colleges.

CULTURE OF HEALTH PRIZE
RWJF calls for applications

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has released a call for applications for the 2015 RWJF Culture of Health Prize. Up to 10 communities will be awarded a $25,000 cash prize in honor of "community efforts and partnerships that are helping people live healthier lives".

The August 8th deadline is fast approaching! The FDA Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) proposed a Deeming Regulation to regulate other tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, cigars, little cigars, dissolvable products, and hookah. View this docket.
